Ghanaian goalie Clement Ashittey signed for Dedebit Football Club in late September and has been enjoying a flying time on pre-season.

Former Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club goalkeeper Clement Ashittey has been put up as one of the brightest talents to watch in the upcoming Ethiopian Premier League.

Clement Ashittey, 21, signed for the Addis Ababa-based Dedebit Football Club in late September and has been enjoying a flying time on pre-season.

The former Amidaus Professionals and Bidvest Vits shot-stopper has come up as one of the top foreign footballers to watch in the Ethiopian top-flight league.

Clement Ashittey had a short with Bidvest in South Africa’s Premier Soccer League but left the club after failing to secure regular playing time.

He is one of the top five foreign players to watch in the upcoming Ethiopian Premier League which is set to start in the first week of November.

Dedebit Football Club was founded in 1997 as a youth project at the so called Army Officers’ Residential Compound in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa. The team made premier league debut in 2010-2011 season and became the champions in the same season. The tame plays home games at Addis Ababa Stadium (seat ~35,000) as well as Abebe Bikila Stadium (seat ~30,000).
