ADDIS ABABA (Semonegna)–The Government of Ethiopia has announced the bank account of the Ethiopian Diaspora Trust Fund (DTF) on July 18, 2018.
DTF is a recent call by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed for the global Ethiopian diaspora to contribute as little as $1-a-day to the transformation and development of a better Ethiopia, saying that if the Ethiopian Diaspora contributes one dalar per day for a year or two, it is possible that Ethiopia would have sufficient number of high schools for students and as many hospitals as needed for Ethiopian mothers. He further promised that the every dollar the comes to the DTF account will never go to any other service or project rather fully used for the benefit of the public.

According to the Office of the Prime Minster, the bank account for the Ethiopian Diaspora Trust Fund has been opened at the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE). A press statement was given by Ato Ahmed Shide, Government Communication Affairs Office Minister, and Ato Bacha Gina, President of CBE.
