While Addis Ababa University graduates its students in Addis Ababa, similar commencement ceremonies have been held in various universities across the country on the same day.
ADDIS ABABA (EBC)–Addis Ababa University (AAU) has graduated 10,908 students in various fields of study.
Among them 207 are PhD graduates while 4,351 are post-graduates.
On the occasion, President of the University, Professor Admasu Tsegaye said the University has been working to be a research center of the country as well as the continent.
University’s Board Chair and Federal and Pastoral Affairs Minister Kassa Tekelebirhan urged the graduates to contribute to all -rounded development endeavors of the country.
Some graduates told EBC that they are ready to serve their people and the country with commitment.
They have also called on the other graduates to work toward becoming entrepreneurs.
In a similar news, while Addis Ababa University graduates its students in Addis Ababa, Mekelle, Adama, Jimma, Wollo, Arba Minch, Haramaya, Adigirat, Assosa and Gondar universities also graduated students studied various fields of specialization on the same day.
