Gatoch Panom joins Egyptian El-Gouna FC, leaving Mekelle Kenema FC in just 5 months

Gatoch Panom joined El-Gouna FC from Ethiopian side Mekelle Kenema FC and put pen to paper on a three-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2021.

Egyptian El-Gouna FC, based in El Gouna and will be playing in the Egyptian Premier League for the season 2018/2019, have announced the signing of former FC Anzhi Makhachkala (Russia) midfielder and current Ethiopian international .

The 23-year-old defensive midfielder has joined El-Gouna FC from Ethiopian side Mekelle Kenema FC and put pen to paper on a three-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2021.

Gatoch Panom has started his career at Ethiopian Coffee FC Addis Ababa, before moving to Russian outfit FC Anzhi Makhachkala in July 2017.

He spent only eight months in Russia, representing Anzhi Makhachkala just once in the cup, and then returned back to his home country, signing for Mekelle Kenema FC.

The defensive midfielder has been capped 29 times by Ethiopian national team, making his international debut in 2012 and has scored six goals.
