ISYX Technologies, ALROWAD IT Solutions and AFRICOM Technologies to digitize Ethiopia’s judicial system

ADDIS ABABA (Semonegna.com)–Global partners ISYX Technologies LLC and ALROWAD IT Solutions LLC, both Dubai-based information technology (IT) companies, and regional partner AFRICOM Technologies PLC signed a multi-way partnership agreement with Ethiopia’s Federal Attorney General to implement a digitalized national integrated justice system (NIJS) in the country. The NIJS implementation agreement signed by these parties in Addis Ababa is a 15 million USD project, it was learnt.

Mrs. Mehbuba Adem, FDRE’s Vice Federal Attorney-General, said that the Ethiopian government initiated a comprehensive justice system reform program with the objective of achieving a maximum level of justice service in the country in terms of efficiency and quality by overhauling the system as a whole.

She also added that, NIJS will help judicial system bring effective delivery of justice to the citizens by managing resources and handling cases across all stakes of judicial processes and availing information to monitor and assess improvement of law enforcement as well administration of justice.

The Dubai-based partnering companies said ISYX Technologies LLC and its global partner ALROWAD IT Solutions LLC are among the leading business IT solutions and management services providers in Middle East and Gulf countries. The companies specialize in information system implementation and digitalization of justice systems including law enforcement agencies (such as police bureaus and traffic controlling offices), courts and related institutions which work in legal processes, etc.

The 28-month NIJS implementation project is expected bolster the ever growing need for proper handling of statistical data and management of information system in the country’s law enforcement and judiciary system. When NIJS becomes operational, its scope will cover implementing information and communication technologies (ICT) at different sorts of justice institutions so that the country will have a universal and integrated justice information system at the national level, which in turn will have a crucial role in fulfilling the goal of the justice reform in the country.
