SEOUL (Yonhap) – HDC Hyundai Development Co., a South Korean construction company based in Seoul, said it has won a road project worth US$138 million from the Ethiopian Roads Authority.
The company said, on 4th December 2018, the Gore-Tepi road in the south-west of Ethiopia, which runs 143 kilometers, will connect the Southern and Oromia regions of the country.
Construction will start in January 2019 and continue through June 2023.
HDC Hyundai Development Co. said the project will become a milestone for the company to penetrate deeper into the African market.
The road will also contribute in revitalizing the regional economy of Ethiopia, the company added.
