Wondfo will be establishing its first and only manufacturing hub in Africa here in Ethiopia, while it has already established a distribution hub in Nigeria, with the aim of manufacturing and distributing throughout Africa.

This JCC aims to provide excellence in distribution and after sales service, which will boost the predictability and availability by manufacturing the product in as close proximity to the end-user as possible and thereby render maximum benefits for all stakeholders and the society as a whole. Among the direct benefits afforded by this cooperation are continuous supply of reagents and services, flipping the foreign currency demand with net earnings of foreign currency for Ethiopia as over 30 African countries will be supplied from Ethiopia, substantially decreased cost and environmental footprint caused by extensive sea or air freight, technical as well as managerial knowledge and skill transfer to name a few.

Undoubtedly this is an additional testament to the strength of the Ethiopian economy and in full alignment with the Ethiopian government’s industrialization policy. Multinational corporations such as Wondfo, which had introduced its products to the Ethiopian market since 8 years back, now chose to affirm their commitment working together with their local partners on knowledge and skill transfer and manufacturing to meet Ethiopia’s market demand and beyond.

As a foundation for the domestic operations the local partners will use their extensive experience within the market as impetus for continued product development, distribution, and building application and service engineering capacity.
